Tough Tots Fund, Inc. (TTF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity serving the Central Florida area. It was established by two parents about 12 months after their two-day-old baby was admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit due to a serious medical condition. After nearly two weeks of the whole family “living” at the hospital, their newborn was discharged with months of post-hospitalization treatment ahead. Because of excellent medical care and ongoing support from family and friends, she has made a wonderful recovery.

“When our baby left the PICU, it quickly became clear how fortunate we were, as there were many other children that would not be discharged that day. In fact, many babies and toddlers would be there for days, weeks, or months. Their families would be enduring this stay as well; along with all the accompanying mental strain and financial challenges. If the Tough Tots Fund can improve the quality of care of a child or bring comfort and positivity to their family, we will have accomplished our mission. We’ll do this by providing activity items to children and strategically directed financial assistance to families for things such as meals, hotel nights, or post-hospitalization medical expenses to help continue the healing. Families in need of support are located through referrals from within the pediatric medical community."
